Privacy Policy
Grace and Prayer is built so that you do not need to give us your name, email or phone number. This page explains, in plain words, what the app does collect, why, and how to have it deleted.
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Who we are
Grace and Prayer (in Chinese, 恩典時光) is run by Lindon Digital, in Bellevue, Washington, USA. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean that company. You can reach us at support@lindondigital.com.
The short version
- No sign-up. No name, email or password. The app creates a random anonymous ID on your phone.
- The app is free, has no ads, and has no analytics or tracking tools.
- We do not sell or share your personal data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- Other users never see your ID. Your name appears on a prayer only if you typed one, and never on an anonymous prayer.
- You can delete everything linked to your anonymous ID inside the app: Me tab, then “Delete my data”.
How the app works without an account
The first time you open the app, it creates a random anonymous ID for your phone, using our backend provider’s sign-in system. That ID is how the app knows which prayers and hearts are yours. It is not connected to your name or contact details, and other users cannot see it.
Because there is no email or password, we cannot restore your history for you. If you delete the app or change phones, your earlier prayers and settings cannot be recovered.
What we collect, and why
- Your prayers and testimonies. The text you write, the optional display name you type, the category, the language, who you chose to let see it, the time you sent it, whether you marked it answered, and the short testimony note you add. We use this to show your prayer to other people in the app and to review it for safety.
- Reactions. When you tap “Pray for you” or send a heart, we record which prayer it was for and which anonymous ID did it. This keeps the counts right and stops the same person from adding the same reaction twice.
- Reports and blocks you make. If you report a prayer or block an author, we record it so we can review it and so the blocked author stays hidden from you.
- Notification details, only if you turn notifications on. We store your Apple push token, the app language, and your time zone. We use them only to send at most one notification a day, at about 8 a.m. your local time, saying how many people prayed for you. The notification contains counts only, never the text of a prayer.
- Normal server logs. Our backend provider keeps standard technical logs, including your IP address, for security and to prevent abuse.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or advertising identifiers. The app contains no analytics or tracking software and no advertising software.
Prayers can touch on private things such as health, family or faith. Please share only what you are comfortable with other people reading.
How your prayer is shown to others
When you write a prayer you choose how it is shown. A display name appears only if you typed one. A prayer you mark anonymous never shows any name. Prayers are shown exactly as you wrote them, and are never translated. The app does not allow comments.
Every new prayer and every testimony is read by a person before it becomes public. Automatic checks also block contact details. You can read more in our Terms of Use.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use these service providers to run the app and website:
- Supabase: our database, hosting and anonymous sign-in. Its servers are in the United States.
- Apple: delivers push notifications through the Apple Push Notification service, and distributes the app through the App Store.
- Cloudflare: serves this website and manages its domain name (DNS).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we believe it is necessary to prevent serious harm to someone.
Where your information is kept
Our database servers are in the United States. If you use the app from another country, your information is sent to and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
How long we keep it, and how to delete it
We keep your information for as long as your anonymous ID exists. To delete it, open the app, go to the Me tab, and choose “Delete my data”. This immediately and permanently removes the anonymous ID and everything linked to it from our database: your prayers, reactions, reports you made, blocks, and notification registration.
Routine backups made by our provider may keep a copy for up to 30 days, and then they expire. Prayers that were rejected or reported are kept only until the anonymous ID they belong to is deleted.
Your choices and rights
You can use the app without giving us any personal details, turn notifications on or off at any time (iPhone Settings, then Notifications, then Grace and Prayer), and delete your data yourself as described above. Depending on where you live, such as California or Washington State, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it deleted, and not to have it sold or shared. We do not sell or share personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of.
The in-app “Delete my data” button is the fastest and surest way to use these rights. You can also email support@lindondigital.com. Please be aware that we hold no name or email for you, so we may not be able to tell which anonymous ID is yours from an email alone. If you tell us roughly what you wrote and when, we will try to find it, but we cannot promise to be able to. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Children
Grace and Prayer is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the app, please email us.
Security
Information is sent between the app and our servers over encrypted connections, and we rely on our providers’ security measures. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and describe significant changes here. Please look at it from time to time.
